FLICKR FRIDAY: LINA SCHEYNIUS

We've been away a little while with this feature, but we're back with a bang! Thanks to our new Flickr Friday'er (is that a word?) Lina Scheynius. This Swedish-born photographer is not afraid of some bare skin and in-your-face intimacy. Kind of scary almost, but in a beautiful and pure way. Dark sexy scenes are being alternate without any fear to bright and soft colors. There will be an update soon, with personal comments from Lina. Keep an eye open on our facebook page.

FLICKR FRIDAY: LEAH BERNHARDT

So, it's saturday. We hope you weren't waiting, and waiting, and waiting yesterday for our Flickr Friday. If so: sorry! Can we make it up with you? With a Flickr Friday that's on saturday? Because that's what this is. And it's a good one. Her name is Leah Bernhardt. She makes photographs with loads of emotions, and layers to discover.

FLICKR FRIDAY: MARTINA GIAMMARIA

Do you already smell it? We do. It's the smell of weekend. For some people to relax, and for some to work even more to pay for all of their rolls they want to develop. But, now you can chill for a couple of minutes. Sit back, and dive into this Flickr Friday with our girl Martina Giammaria. She's from Italy (you guys!) and was born in 1976 in an ancient town called Anagni.

PHOTOGRAPHER ELIZABETH WEINBERG

Today is a perfect day to stay inside, grab a blanket, some tea and cookies and read PAMMM! And we've got something for you: the photographer Elizabeth Weinberg. She lives in Brooklyn (NY), with two cats, a bicycle and a moped. Can't live without: iced coffee, the beach, bicycle as transportation, getting out of the city, and R.E.M.'s "Green" on vinyl. Jep, that's all you need (oh, and a camera naturally). She was selected as one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2010, and has been published in American Photography 26. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she graduated with a degree in Photojournalism from Boston University in 2004.

FLICKR FRIDAY: MAIA AKIVA

This is a special Flickr Friday. Not only because we post it on thursday, but also because of the photographer that is featured. Meet Maia Akiva: 17 years old, from Michigan and most of the time she uses her Holga 135 to shoot her incredible pictures. She's special because we think that this young talent already has such a great eye for colours, vibes, forms and composition. In her pictures you will find youth, magic, nature and beauty.

FLICKR FRIDAY: EMMA ROSES

*updated* Friday the 13th: a not-so-lucky day for many of you, but for Emma it is! She has been chosen to shine for one week in our Flickr Friday section. She has a talent for communicating a certain vibe or feeling with her photo's. I was really impressed with her black and white series, so that's why I made a selection from those.

9.8.10

PHOTOGRAPHER JEN DAVIS

Jen Davis (born 1987 in Ohio) is that kind of photographer that isn't afraid of reality. Maybe she is, but she dares to confront herself with her own, literally. Especially with her series 'Self-portraits': as a viewer you sometimes could feel ashamed of what you see. Her photo's are to the point, full of emotion and sometimes harsh. Brilliant combination.

3.8.10

PHOTOGRAPHER DANIEL RIBAR

This guy is about the radiant, bright images. He lives in Detroit; not really a radiant city, so he's really searching for his fresh pictures. Sometimes he finds an interesting color on a wall or a strong shadow that he can use. But for most of his pictures he makes sure to get at least one trip out of town every month to keep his photo's fresh.

FLICKR FRIDAY: DANY PESCHL

Whoops, we just realized we forgot about Flickr Friday last week. Excusez. But today we're going to make it up to you with this one, #6: Dany Peschl. Unfortunetly his email-adress didn't work (Dany, give us a shout out!) so we have zero info. But images say more than a 1000 words...

PHOTOGRAPHER PAULINE MAGNENAT

Flickr Friday has come again, your loyal friend that brings you new talent that strolls around on Flickr. It's #5, and again the talent comes from Italy. Go Italy! Maurizio Strippoli is originally a graphic designer, but photography is the perfect second love. Clean colours are his main inspiration, and that makes his photo's stand out and very recognizable.

Different things and subjects are being shot by her, but with a feminine touch.

And we're already at #3 of the famous Flickr Friday: Sam the Stockman (such a name, that's cool).
