Today is a perfect day to stay inside, grab a blanket, some tea and cookies and read PAMMM! And we've got something for you: the photographer Elizabeth Weinberg. She lives in Brooklyn (NY), with two cats, a bicycle and a moped. Can't live without: iced coffee, the beach, bicycle as transportation, getting out of the city, and R.E.M.'s "Green" on vinyl. Jep, that's all you need (oh, and a camera naturally). She was selected as one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2010, and has been published in American Photography 26. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she graduated with a degree in Photojournalism from Boston University in 2004.
When she was a teenager, she started taking pictures of her youngest sister. She started documenting her growing up and running to the hour photo lab to get the film processed as soon as she finished a roll. At the same time, she became heavily interested in music and would shoot live at concerts she attended, mainly as an excuse to get up front. She has a effortles, real way of getting images onto the film.
